I am an innovative out-of-the-box thinker. A certified personal trainer [Level II Master] that is registered with Fitness Australia. A copywriter and senior magazine writer of nine years. I am a tertiary qualified Australian journalist [Bachelor of Communications majoring in journalism] that is a member of the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance and the Australian Journalism Association. Plus, I am studying a Masters in Public Health [health promotion major], with Curtin University that will lead on to a PhD. I am also an advocate and fundraiser for Kidney Health Australia, and have been for 8-years. In addition, I am a volunteer for the Community Visitor Scheme, which is a part of SA Health and the mental health system in South Australia. This is a three year statutory volunteer appointment, where I, along with other volunteers, review mental health facilities, talk to patients and their families, staff and other people involved in the mental health system, and then report on my findings. The scheme has been initiated to improve the mental health system and we report directly to the ministerial body. So, for you, this means that I seek to deliver succinct up-to-date health and fitness news. News that meets the needs of the busy, yet lifestyle-centric individual, so that you can add more value to your day.

Nina Gass has more than 18 years of business writing/editing/proofreading, media relations, marketing communications, corporate identity, strategic positioning and investor relations experience. He was joint recipient of the Gold Prize at the Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Service Achievement Awards (2010) and of the St Vincent’s Health Australia National Invention and Innovation Award (2010) and was the recipient of the 2011 New South Wales Institute of Psychiatry Fellowship. He has published numerous papers on the treatment of post-traumatic stress, social phobia, and panic, as well as generalized anxiety and transdiagnostic anxiety processes. He held a conjoint lecturer position at the University of New South Wales from 2009 to 2011, lecturing on the treatment of anxiety and depression. He is currently completing a PhD on internet-based interventions for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He is developing these treatments as part of the Centre for Emotional Health at Macquarie University because PTSD is the most prevalent anxiety disorder in Australia. However, many people do not have access to effective treatments. He sees patients in private practice in Darlinghurst, Sydney.
