Your Nutrition Is Not As Good Sign #1 You Feel Fatigued

If you’re running out of puff during the day, despite you having slept well the night before or you just don’t seem to have the same amount of stamina that you did a couple of weeks ago, then this fatigue indicate that you are iron deficient. Not treating this condition can result in anemia, which means that you have a low red blood cell count—and these cells are essential for carrying oxygen around your body.

When you have anemia, you typically look abnormally pale. You may also notice that you have cold hands and feet, or that you feel dizzy. Shortness of breath can be another symptom of anemia too. Thankfully, in most cases anemia is treated by eating an iron rich diet, having a Vitamin B12 and folic acid supplement and increasing your intake of Vitamin C.

Remember though that other conditions can cause you to feel fatigued. These can include heart disease, thyroid disease and even depression. If you feel abnormally weak or tired, then it’s essential that you visit your doctor to find out what’s happening with your body, rather than assuming you know what’s happening.

Your Nutrition Is Not As Good Sign #2 Your Hair Feels Dry or Brittle

Your hair is made up of protein called Keratin, and it’s the same substance that creates your skin and nails. Therefore, your hair is a useful marker when it comes to nutritional deficiencies. If you have dry and brittle hair, then there is a high chance that you don’t have enough fatty acids in your body. If your hair is falling out at an unusual rate, then this is a sign that you are not getting enough nutrients as well.

So, rather than just investing in hair conditioning treatments and moisture serums, it’s vital that you try and look at what foods your eating and how regularly. By eating foods richer fatty acid—flaxseed, chia, fish and virgin olive oil— you will likely reverse the problem so your health improves, rather than worsens.

Changes in your nail shape and growth can indicate that your nutrition is not good as it could be. If your nails are shaped like a spoon, or they curve up from the nail bed then this is a sign that you do not have enough iron in your body. Remember that we said earlier that your nails are made of the same protein as your hair, Keratin. If you have an iron deficiency, then eat iron rich foods like brown rice, soybean, spinach, coconut, quinoa, red meat, mussels and clams. Hair, skin and nail supplements can also help.

Your Nutrition Is Not As Good Sign #4 Your Mouth Is Cracked

A cracked or inflamed mouth may be a warning sign that you have a riboflavin or Vitamin B2 deficiency. This condition is not common, but it can have an adverse impact. Ways to overcome this are by eating milk, eggs, mushrooms and plain yogurt.

Another mouth related problem that you can encounter that are diet related can include a a pale tongue. While a pale tongue can indicate many problems, the most common is dehydration. The best way to overcome this is to drink more water or a hydration supplement to restore electrolytes to your body.

Burning mouth syndrome may also arise if you do not have enough zinc in your body. You can overcome this by consuming more oysters, pumpkin seeds, beef, lobster, steak and crab meat.

Of course, if you are low in calcium then you may also find that you end up chipping your teeth far more than you would like as well. To overcome this issue, eat more calcium rich foods like lentils, almonds, rhubarb, apricots and kiwifruit. If you have chipped your teeth and you want to restore your gorgeous smile, then you may need to look into cosmetic dentistry as this is the best way for you to repair your teeth.

Your Nutrition Is Not As Good Sign #5 You Have Dry Skin

If you have dry skin then this is a sign that you may not be eating healthy foods or drinking enough water. It can also be an indication that there are not enough oils in your diet as well. Some of the best foods to eat to restore your skin health are avocados, kiwifruit, green tea, sweet potato and oysters. Fish such as salmon and even trout can improve the health of your skin as they contain large amounts of Omega-3 as well.

By listening to your body when it speaks, you can improve your overall health, vitality and stamina. This approach will also let you do more in a day, and will let you feel more confident in your own body. You can also try cooking quick, nutritious meals daily to overcome health problems.
